This chart shows the percentage of NDCs that include transport-related targets across three generations of submissions. Each bar represents 100% of NDCs submitted in that generation. Use the Region filter to explore results by geographic area. The subtitle updates to show the exact number of NDCs for the selected region.
Dorling view — Circle area represents the country's share of global transport CO₂e (EDGAR 2023). Color indicates the transport target status in the latest active NDC. Large grey circles highlight major emitters whose NDCs do not yet address transport.
Dots view — One equal dot per Party on a borderless land silhouette. All internal and external borders are dissolved — this representation does not imply any official position on boundaries.
Transport target in latest active NDC — The country's current operative NDC includes at least one transport-related target.
Transport target in a previous NDC — The country included transport targets in an earlier submission. That NDC is now archived, meaning it has been superseded by a newer generation that does not carry the commitment forward.
No transport target in any NDC — The country has not included transport targets in any generation of NDC submissions.
An active NDC is the climate commitment a country currently operates under. An archived NDC has been superseded by a newer submission. EU member states are displayed collectively based on the EU NDC.
This chart shows the number of NDCs mentioning each transport mitigation measure category. Use the generation toggles to compare how priorities have shifted over rounds. Multiple generations can be selected simultaneously.
Dorling view — Circle area represents the country's share of global transport CO₂e. Color intensity shows measure mentions. Dots view — Equal dots on a borderless land silhouette, colored by measure mentions.
Generation selection — Only one generation can be selected at a time on the map. Use Reset to return to Latest Active.
